about

We were given some studio time by the great Neil Karras in exchange for laying down some rhythm tracks on a new folk singer's tracks... who was coming out of Hood River. We were going old school, upright acoustic bass, and minimal Jazz kit with two toms and two cymbals, recorded with a couple of overhead Mics and a snare and a kick. We laid down some rhythm tracks in the spirit of Ornette, and we had plans to edit them and add some melodic components, but we never got it done. I was listening to these tracks today and thought, there's enough musical material here to entertain somebody, I'll put it out. One of the many faces of the music of Fred and I.

about

Henry Franzoni Portland, Oregon

The amazing Fred Chalenor, RIP my friend.

Inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. 2023

There were a number of half finished projects. one offs and solo projects that are found here in this little corner of Build a Buzz Records and Books.

This is the tip of the glacier, I personally know of a few other lost recordings out there.
